What is Samsung Account for Business

Samsung Account for Business is a business-focused version of the standard Samsung account, designed to help organizations manage work accounts with greater oversight and security. It offers the same core functionality and user experience as a personal Samsung account, but adds powerful administrative controls that allow IT teams to manage users, verify company domains, and integrate with identity providers.

With this update, Samsung Account for Business is now supported across Samsung Knox cloud services, allowing enterprises to manage employee access consistently across portals such as the Knox Admin Portal*. Existing Samsung Knox customers can switch their sign-in method to this new account type for more centralized control and secure management across their organization.

How this update enhances account management

Previously, IT admins could only manage Samsung Knox cloud services access through individual Samsung accounts. In these setups, account ownership remained with the employee—meaning that if someone left the company, any corporate data tied to their personal Samsung account could not be recovered or reassigned.

With the addition of Samsung Account for Business, organizations can now manage their employees’ accounts under a single, company-controlled structure. Super admins can oversee the entire account lifecycle—from creation and assignment to suspension or removal—directly within a verified company domain.

For existing Samsung Knox customers who currently log in with Samsung accounts, this update introduces a straightforward sign-in transition rather than a full migration. All data and settings related to Samsung Knox are carried over as part of the transition, so there is no need to reregister or reconfigure their Samsung Knox environment. Super admins can switch their organization to Samsung Account for Business without disrupting access, and every admin’s personal Samsung account will continue to work with other Samsung services as usual.

By consolidating account management, organizations gain greater visibility, streamlined workflows, and stronger governance across all Samsung Knox portals—reducing administrative overhead and improving security with clearer separation between work and personal data within enterprise environments.

Improved benefits for your organization

Switching to Samsung Account for Business gives IT admins more flexibility and control over how employee accounts are managed within Samsung Knox cloud services. Designed to simplify account oversight and reduce manual work, it provides organizations with the tools they need to manage users efficiently and securely.
