We are excited to share the past month's release highlights, upcoming releases and features, and content highlights of June 2021.

 

Release highlights

  1. Knox Cloud Services (KCS) v1.39 released on June 16, 2021
  2. Knox Manage (KM) v21.6 released on June 16, 2021
  3. KM v21.7 released on July 8, 2021
  4. KM Product Update Webinar: July 7 at 10:00am CEST. To join our session, you need to register in advance by following this link
  5. Enterprise Edition (EE) customers will not be able to generate EE Legacy License from August 1, 2021

EFOTA on MDM

  • Existing EE customers are recommended to migrate to Knox E-FOTA as soon as possible. Knox E-FOTA can be provided for the rest of their device lifecycle. KE on MDM can be used only until its End of Service (Jul. 31, 2022)
  • New EE customers can use Knox E-FOTA included in Knox Suite

EFOTA One

KCS 1.39

The major features of this release include:

  • Enroll devices without Google services - E-FOTA One can be still successfully enrolled 
  • License assignment changes - device uploaded by reseller with Auto Enroll or Auto Campaign enabled, even if EMM removes such device, the device will stay in the console
  • For VMware only, the last synced on time updates instantly once the new group is synced to Knox E-FOTA One using either Manage EMM groups, Sync now, or Periodic Auto Sync
  • Consolidated onboarding - now supported for all Knox services

The ebilling schema will be removed from KSP at the end of July. Existing profiles that were created and associated with devices before the schema was removed will not be affected by this change

  • Customers having EE Legacy License will be able to assign it to EE models launched before Aug. 1, 2021
