Keeping officers on the street—connected and equipped
The Chicago Police Department aimed to keep officers more engaged with their communities and reduce time spent on paperwork. To achieve this, they needed powerful, always-connected devices that provided access to critical data, permits, and documents at any time. Officers required mobile capabilities to work seamlessly from their vehicles, on the streets, or at the office.

In 2018, the department transitioned from using 3,000 outdated vehicle-mounted laptops to deploying over 10,000 Samsung Galaxy devices across the city.
